Prayer Chain Saturday 24:00 - Sunday 24:00

Prayer Points:
1.Pray for grace to strive individually as well as corporately in that hardest and most rewarding work: PRAYER (1 Peter 4:7)
2.Pray for spiritual growth and fruitfulness for all believers (Jude 20)
3.Pray for financial/job/career breakthrough (Deut. 8:18; Jn 5:17; Prov. 16:3)
4.Pray for marriages and families going through challenges to be sustained (Ps. 119:89;121:1-8)
5.Pray for the fruit of the womb to be given to couples who are waiting on God (Ps. 127:3)
6.Pray for the salvation of the lost, especially family members and loved ones (2 Cor. 4:3-4)
7.Pray for humility and wisdom for leaders, both spiritual and temporal (Matt. 20:26; Prov. 14:8)
8.Pray for ministry growth and fresh fire (Eph. 4:7-16; Rev. 3:7)
9.Pray for sincere and demonstrable love amongst believers (Jn. 13:34-35)
10.Pray for Christians who are waiting on the Lord for a life partner (Is. 34:16)
11.Pray against principalities, powers, and spiritual wickedness arrayed against the church (Eph. 6:12)
12.Pray for persecuted Christians around the world (Eph. 6:19-20)
13.God to awake each one to the dire need for evangelism.

“All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom” Psalm 145:10-12

Ask the Holy Spirit to help us take the commission to evangelize with all seriousness. Ask
the Holy Spirit to awaken us to the reality of the authority He has available for us and that
His love and compassion grow in us towards those who are yet to be saved. Destroy barriers
and strategies of satanic forces to create fear and discouragement in minds of believers. Pray
that the Holy Spirit prepare the hearts of the people to receive the message of salvation as
we take it forth.
14.Pray that the increase and multiplication that was experienced in the New Testament churches will also be seen in our midst because anything that is not witnessing growth will at some point eventually die. Ask Jesus Christ to raise up more labourers in God’s vineyard. Every mature Christian should should realise that the quest for the souls of men has at no time been stronger than it is today and we cannot continue to just sit sit back and be spectators while the enemy is trying to take grounds. Destroy the various areas where people are in spiritual captivity.
15.Grace to live as true representatives of God’s Kingdom here on earth.

How we interact with those in our community surpass what we say to a large extent in the lives of people we are in direct contact with. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; That is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For he has made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Cor. 2:17-21
16. Ask that the Holy Spirit break down every altar of self and sweep away any character trait that is stumbling block in being true ambassador for Christ. Declare release from any area that is yet a problem in walking fully in the steps of Jesus Christ. Ask that the beauty shown in the nature of Christ be also seen in you and His church. Pray that people see God through how we live.
17. Soak church leaders (within and outside LCC) in the blood of Jesus Christ, pray for their spiritual well being and growth.

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.” 1 Tim. 2:1-3
“Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.” Matthew 26:31
Jesus Christ was quoting from Zechariah 13:7. Leaders are prime targets in warfare and spiritual warfare is no different. We cannot afford not to pray for church leaders at all levels and those in leadership outside the church. Their decisions and actions will heavily impact on those they oversee their affairs. Pray for God’s covering over them and all that pertains to them. Ask the Holy Spirit to instruct them, that they hear what He is saying and what He is also saying through other people. Pray that any self seeking attitude is destroyed. Ask that God will equip them in every way to fulfill the call. Pray they are divinely inspired and that they are visionary and discerning. Pray that they humble themselves and accept the discipline of God when it is needed.
18. That the church lives its purpose in Helsinki and around the world.
Reflect on the different things the church was involved in the bible: Evangelism, teaching
and nurturing those who received Jesus Christ into their lives, caring for widows and those
experiencing challenges, feeding the poor, exercising unwavering confidence in God,
intercession.....and so on. Pray that we live to fulfill God’s purpose in this nation and that this
nation we know that we are here through what we do and also know that God is a reality.
Pray that we flourish. The people saw the wonderful things happening in the church they
saw the compassion and love in full display, these contributed to attracting attention apart
from the miracles they saw.

19.Strength for churches in nations facing crisis.
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall
be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” .
Romans 8:38-39
The church today is at the fore of persecution around the world like never before. Muslims and people of other beliefs have become more violent and a very strong threat to the church in many places. Pastors and Missionaries in these countries conduct their affairs not knowing if they will have the opportunity to live the next day. Let us pray for their divine protection. Pray that God will reveal the secrets of their opponents as He did to Elisha. Pray that the Holy Spirit empower the church that God’s power will be seen at work as a sign to convince those persecuting them that Jesus Christ remains the true and only way. Bless the work in these nations and mention names. Pray for provisions for the church and those who have lost their homes and sources of livelihood. Pray that the worldwide church will rally to support the church in these nations. Pray for encouragement and steadfast faith.
20. Pray against the quest to get rich quick at all cost.
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have
erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Tim. 6:10
Many people are being destroyed due to addiction to various substances, many are dying
from the use of adulterated products of various sorts. These things are happening because
there are people who want to make money no matter what they have to do to get it. They
have practically sold their souls as long as they get rich quick. Money has become a god to
them. Pray for an open heart and mind to enable them see the severe damage their actions
have caused to those who have become victims of their actions. Destroy the seeds of evil
being sown in the hearts of people around the world. Ask for God’s deliverance for those
who are addicted. Pray against the love of money and material things.

21. Those in forced labour and slavery around the world.
Pray that they first experience relationship with Jesus Christ and that they come to receive
the spiritual freedom that He alone can offer. Pray against the evil at work in the hearts of
those who are keeping them in perpetual servitude, that God will destroy the altar of greed
and wickedness that is controlling their quest to make money at all cost. Pray that these
who are promoting forced labour and prostitution be able to experience the saving grace of
God. Ask the Holy Spirit to open their eyes, destroy the veil that has blinded them and
bring love and empathy. Pray for all individuals and organisations working to facilitate
rehabilitation for all involved in forced labour in prostitution.
22. Pray for yourself. You are the unit of the church
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the
evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13
We are a part of the body. Others are encouraged when we are experiencing growth and blossoming in our relationship with God. It thus means that how we choose to walk will impact on the body. When we are strong under the enablement of the Holy Spirit, it will impact on the church. Ask the Holy Spirit to work in you and help you continue the run without growing weary or weak. Ask Him to strengthen your spirit and enhance His anointing upon your life. Declare your desires in line with God’s word and His promises

Wednesday 8th April 2015

  • Pray for healing for members who are presently dealing with health and other challenge

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call. (Joel 2:32)

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. (James 5: 15-17)

Declare God's blessings upon their bodies ask for restoration and intervention. Pray against any pattern of                   failure or problems. God hears when we call on Him  on behalf of  people. Faith is critical as we ask for His                     compassion on His people

  • Pray for self
Ask that you will be counted among the faithful who are steadfast, fruitful and uncompromising. Renew your   commitment unto the Lord and ask for the Help of the Holy Spirit to enable you grow significantly in your           spiritual and other aspects of life. Ask God to help you commune with Him better a well as study and meditate upon His living word. Ask the help of the Holy Spirit to facilitate your prayer life and revive your hunger for His presence
  • Pray for  the Church in places where it is a taboo to speak about Jesus Christ

Ask God to uphold the Church in these places and make them vibrant. Ask the Holy Spirit to work in wonderful          ways through those working in these frontlines. Pray that the will of the Believers shall not be broken but rather          be strengthened, Ask that the Holy Spirit will teach them how to be strategic in touching lives within these                     communities. Ask that the Holy Spirit will show Himself on their behalf and facilitate provisions for their work.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (Romans 8:35-37)

  • Pray against strongholds that satan is using to hold people in captivity

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.  And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8: 34-36)

Declare that the blood of Jesus Christ washes over those who have been overtaken by various forms of                           addiction. Ask God to put a terrible taste in their mind and any channels that are being exploited to hold them             in captivity. Declare that the name of Jesus Christ breaks every chains over these people, mention the names of          people that you know. Pray against the stronghold of alcohol, drug addiction, anger and violence, self abuse,                  spouse abuse,   gluttony, sexual addiction and perversion, lying and backbiting... Pray against spiritual ignorance          and spiritual   deception. Ask that the knowledge and power of God will permeate that hearts and set them free             from their servitude through the  name of Jesus Christ.

  • Pray that the children and youth will be exposed to God

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: (Deut. 11:18-20

Pray that opportunities that will expose children and youth to God's ways will increase. Pray that we who                     already know Him will appropriate every chance to speak about Him unto the youth and children. Pray that we           live as role models for the next generation to visibly see Christ's hands at work in our lives. Pray that Christian            youths and children are good ambassadors of the Kingdom of God in their schools. Pray that the anointing to be            different in the face of humiliation will be upon them.

  •        Pray for a fruitful new quarter for LCC

WEDNESDAY 11th MARCH

It is another time for us to rejoice in the Lord as we wait corporately upon Him.  I hope you are excited. This time of fast avails us the opportunity to draw closer unto God and get renewed as we commune with Him.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

As a foundation for our fast, please meditate deeply on Isaiah 58:6-11. Forgiveness and kindness are important habits we must build. Ask God to help you enjoy this special time.

Eph. 3:11-12 declares, "According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. " Thus, we have access to God through Jesus Christ, this must be done with boldness, confidence and faith based on  Jesus Christ and what He has done on the cross. It pleases God when we approach Him with unwavering confidence in Him.

PRAYER POINTS

_________________________________________________________________________

**Success of the upcoming Seminar

Provs. 16:9 says, "A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps." We have a couple of days to the seminar, let us pray fervently that God will direct every step and prayers before and during this event. Pray for anointing and revelation for the guest speaker. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower him mightily to minister the word and to minister to those who will be needing prayers. Declare that all strongholds are totally brought down and that every contrary forces are totally disarmed. Ask that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts/minds of those who have never encountered Christ, that they are able to comprehend and receive Christ's offer of salvation. Ask for  hearts to be healed and the sick to be made whole.

Pray that Jesus Christ will cover all who will be part of the seminar with the blood of Jesus Christ, as well as everything connected to them.

**The Leadership of churches, Finland and nations around the world

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; (1 Tim. 2:1-3)

Pray for leaders to connect with and love the people they have been called to serve. Pray for a selfless attitude and wisdom in decision making. Pray for appreciation of  the truth and fear of God to dwell in their hearts. Pray for grace to discern what will bless and bring life changing possibilities for the people. Pray for a heart of compassion and protection from deception for all in leadership. Pray for the deliverance of those who have been taken over by the love of financial benefits. Ask that the Holy Spirit will destroy the love for money and other unwholesome drives. Ask that those who are walking right will receive encouragement and support needed to even do more. Pray for nations that are fast approaching times of elections, ask that God will guide the electorate in their choices

**Those currently unemployed

Losing a job can cause challenge on various fronts. Pray that God will encourage the hearts of the people no matter how hard pressed or distressed they might people. Pray for grace to wait upon the Lord at a time like this and ability to see things from a new perspective. Pray against any sort of depressing spirits. Pray for love to flow through brothers and sisters in words of encouragement as well as practical support.

**That our potential will be realised

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."  3 John 1:2

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. (Joshua 1:8)

When God commissioned Joshua, He encouraged Him and showed him how his potential in relation to his new assignment was to be realised. As Christians we desire a kind of success that is unique and different from that in the world. The growth and victory associated with God is unique. Going through the verses above, the primary desire is not material but spiritual growth. The material is no doubt important but it must be secondary to the spiritual. Pray that you develop the discipline to focus on God. Pray for grace to deliberately, lovingly and carefully meditate upon His word as well as hear what He is specifically speaking. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you know the will of the Father at all times. Ask that God will prosper your soul and all within LCC as well as other brethren.  Ask God to direct your steps and help you realise your full potential in Him. Ask Him to bless you and make your life impacting as you walk with Him. Pray for a spirit controlled personality.

**Unsaved

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. (Psalm 14:1)

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.  (2 Cor. 4:3-4)

The greatest tragedy of anyone is not to know God. Pray that God will destroy the veil of deception the enemy is using to make many believe that God does not exist or that God is not relevant to them in anyway. Pray that the Holy Spirit will make those yet to embrace the truth of Jesus' salvation, receive the light that ensues life. Ask that the Holy Spirit will show us how to  minister to the unsaved and that He will help us minister in word and actions towards them. Ask that we realise opportunities and fully exploit such. Christ did not request us to preach the Good News, He commanded us, "Go".

Wish you strength and insight as you pray. See you at 5:30pm

WEDNESDAY 11TH FEBRUARY

Appreciate God for the opportunity to come before His presence during this time of fast. Ask that the Holy Spirit reveal any hidden sin and interceed on your behalf even as you confess of any known sin. Also ask for grace to overcome in these areas. Receive a renewal by the Holy Spirit as well as the strength for this day's fast.

Likewise ask the Holy Spirit to show you other areas apart from the general topics listed below.

Romans 8:26-27

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

PRAYER POINTS

***Unimpeded growth of our members.

A plant that is growing needs nourishment to be able to grow upwards and downwards. The roots growing downwards ensures it is able to tap vital nutrients, the leaves above the soil interacts with the elements of nature above ground level.  In the spiritual sense our roots must be deeply in Christ, this is what will ensure that we are nourished to facilitate growth within the body (as individuals) and in us (as a church).

Hebrews 5:12-14
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.  For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

***Pray for Grace to consistently and persistently abide in Christ. A growing plant can break impediments such as concrete walls or tarred roads on its path as long as it is well nourished.
Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Luke 18:1-8 speaks of the result that came due to the persistence of the widow.

***Pray for leaders of 3 churches as well as the congregation. Declare spiritual vitality and love, ask for a renewal where there might be a shortfall. Pray for grace to live the word to the world.

***Pray for 2 unsaved persons you know, bring them before the Lord and ask that they will experience the divine encounter with Christ and they will enjoy the freedom which only Christ can offer. Pray that at least 50 members are added to our congregation this year.

***An unbreakable spirit, and one that is able to relentlessly trust God in all circumstances
Proverbs 18:14
The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

***Our children and youth are filled with the Holy Spirit, they are proud of their Christian identity, open to hear God and are willing vessels in His hands to bless others.

***Wisdom for the Church leadership to seek, hear and obey God's voice, as well as grace to adequately nurture the flock in their care.

Proverbs 8:11-16

For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

***New Gifts and skills to be unleashed in the various ministries within LCC. Pray also for healing for the sick and pray for deliverance for people battling with various addictions.

Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing shall be impossible."

WEDNESDAY 14th JANUARY

YOU SHOULD APPROACH THESE TOPICS WITH FAITH

Before you begin, ask the Holy Spirit to search you and reveal any hidden sin(s). Ask sincerely for God's forgiveness and ask Him to cleanse you with the precious blood of Jesus. God is merciful, He will hear and forgive when we approach Him in humility and truth. However, you must also forgive others because Jesus gave that  as a condition for being forgiven by the Father. (Matthew 6:14; Luke 6:37). Unforgiveness is a barrier to prayers. Faith is critical in this exercise. Jesus personally declared,

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Matthew 7:7).

1. Pray for grace to grow in ability to dwell in the secret place of communion with God

Pray that the Holy Spirit will teach you to pray and that you will encounter God more as you seek His face. Prayer is one of the primary business the church.
Matthew 21:12-13
"And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."

It was Jesus' habit to pray despite His identity. He never took prayer for granted.

"And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed," (Matthew 26:49)

"And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed." (Luke 5:16)

2. Based on Sunday's sermon, pray against the power of fear that causes limitations of various sorts.

Fear can make you abort your vision, fear can cause you to doubt the spoken word of God, fear can make you compromise and sin, fear can make a problem look larger than it is, fear can make you lose perspective... Pray for the grace to develop reverence & Godly fear. Godly fear is healthy, is make you esteem God and walk under His leading.

"Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire. " (Hebrews 12:28-29 )

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)

3. Pray for Grace to walk in Holiness and be focussed on things that have eternal value. Boldly declare, "My mind and Spirit are under the control of the Holy Spirit, Jesus my Saviour, whatever delights You will be my delight and these will be what preoccupy my mind."

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." (Galatians 6:7-8)

"Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." (Psalm 19:13-14)

"Follow peace with all men , and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:" (Hebrews 12:14)
"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." (2 Corinthians 7:1)

"For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness." (1 Thessalonians 4:7 )

4. Pray for harvest from all evangelism efforts.

Pray for increased love to see people come to Christ. Pray for multiplication of cell groups and that more people will be pulled in as they receive invitations. Pray that God will work in us as we work towards advancing His kingdom through sacrificial acts of love and bold declaration of the word. Pray that God will confirm our testimonies through signs and wonders as we speak about His power and goodness. Pray against the rationalisation of the human intellect that undermines who God is and His power to deliver all through His Son. Pray that God will use you to cause visible positive changes in residents in your neighbourhood this year.

“Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father who is in Heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father who is in Heaven. (Matthew 10:32-33)

"And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) (Acts 5:12-14)

5. Pray for fruitfulness of the body.

That all who are desiring children shall experience the move of God that will bring their desire to pass this year. Pray that such pregnancies shall be secured by the power of the name of Jesus, pray against miscarriages of pregnancies and proper development of such babies. Ask that God will take away away barreness as Hannah, Sarai, Elizabeth felt before God blessed them with children.

"So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life. " (1 Samuel 1:9-11)

6. Pray for victory on all fronts as we set out to execute various plans during the year.

Wisdom and understanding are essential in building any thing that will persevere and last. Pray for renewed anointing, discernment, wisdom and strength upon the church leadership as well as all workers.  Pray for love, power and grace to nurture the flock to bring about growth and to shield the flock from elements of evil. Pray for power, authority and boldness to declare the word of God to bring about sustained transformation in members. Ask that forces that will attempt to contend with the Church will have God to contend with. Boldly declare, "We are fully empowered by the Holy Spirit, we walk in victory and excel throughout year, we shall know what to do, we will hear God voice with clarity and walk with Him, we will walk united irrespective of differences that might sometimes rear its head. Our leaders will serve with wisdom, love, joy, zeal and understanding like never before, we shall accomplish all that God has purposed for us, every opposition of satan is aborted in the name of Jesus Christ, my mind is is filled with God's divinely inspired ideas, I am healthy and highly productive throughout this year, Amen."

"Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellers there is safety." (Proverbs 24:3)

"The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.” (John 21:17)

7. Hearing & obedience

Hearing and doing God's word is a factor and proof of our being His children

"And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." (Matthew 7:26-27)

"He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God." (John 8:47)
"But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" (John 10:26-27 )
"But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it ; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."(Matthew 13:23)

**Why hearken unto God?
Safety
Proverbs 1:33
[33] But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Isaiah 55:1-2
[1] Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. [2] Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
